CDL Requirements in Kansas
Once you’ve completed your CDL training at Kansas Truck Driving School, you’ll be ready for your trucking career with a premier carrier. After graduation, you can apply for your CDL in Wichita, KS. You’ll have to meet the necessary requirements to be certified in Kansas as a commercial truck driver.
- Be at least 18 years old. (21 to have passengers or drive out of state.)
- Complete a certified commercial driving course.
- Complete Truckers Against Trafficking training.
- Have your Commercial Learner's Permit (CDL permit) for at least 14 days before taking the CDL test. (No permit is required to enroll. We will help you get your permit as part of the training.) Getting your CDL permit requires you to:
- Pass the written knowledge test.
- Provide 1 document proving legal residency in the U.S.
