Future of Trucking Scholarship
The Driver Resource Center Future of Trucking Scholarship will provide financial assistance to one person each quarter to pursue a career as a commercial driver. The truck driving scholarship will be for $1,000 toward tuition at MTC Truck Driver Training in St. Louis, MO.
The quarterly scholarships will be presented quarterly in September, December, March and June. This scholarship is open to everyone living in St. Louis City or St. Louis County Missouri including but not limited to women and people from underrepresented communities looking to establish a career in the transportation industry.

CDL School Scholarship Eligibility
The DRC Future of Trucking Scholarships may be awarded to deserving applicants who meet admission criteria, demonstrate a financial need, and exhibit a desire to excel in trucking as a career. The scholarships will provide financial assistance to one person every quarter who is entering a CDL program to pursue a career as a commercial driver.
To be considered eligible for the Future of Trucking Scholarship, candidates must meet all of the following criteria:
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the date of commencement of CDL program.
- Must live in St. Louis City or St. Louis County Missouri
- Must be interested in a career in trucking.
- Must meet all the CDL program admission criteria at the time of application as outlined by the institution.
- Must be new to the trucking industry and not have held a CDL license previously.
- Must agree to, and pass, a background check (similar to background checks required for future employment as CDL driver).
- Must submit a scholarship application by the deadline (outlined below).
Scholarship Application Deadlines:
- August 30th
- November 30th
- February 28th
- May 31st
Anyone interested in pursuing a career as a professional truck driver who meets the above criteria is encouraged to apply for the CDL school scholarship. Scholarship Selection and Notification
DRC will compile a scholarship committee to review applications. If chosen, you will be contacted by phone and email. The scholarship winners will be announced on the following schedule below.
– September 15th
– December 15th
– March 15th
– June 15th

(Applicants must agree to the following for the Application to be considered complete)
I Agree to the following conditions: I agree all above information supplied is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I acknowledge that this scholarship will be awarded to the person considered most appropriate by DRC and I have no guarantee of the award or right to the scholarship. I agree that I intend to work in the trucking industry as a truck driver, and I will make a good faith effort to complete the MTC CDL training program and accept a CDL driver position in trucking. Any scholarship, if awarded, will be paid directly to the MTC school, and has no value other than as a deduction to MTC tuition costs. I agree to be responsible for securing payment for all other costs of attending MTC. I agree that in consideration for the scholarship, if awarded, I hereby irrevocably authorize MTC and/or DRC to copyright and/or use my voice, name, picture or other likeness, for the purpose of advertising and marketing.
I agree to have my photograph taken and published for purposes of promoting DRC or MTC services, and to provide a testimonial quote regarding the scholarship and the training.
