Chris spent 9 years in the Air Force as a C130 Load Master. It was his responsibility to get trucks and equipment loaded onto plans for missions. He draws on this experience in the Air Force and as a military instructor daily as a CDL instructor.

“I love to see the transformation in students when they start piecing the training together. That makes it fun,” says Chris.

Watching students take advantage of the opportunity in front of them is one of Chris’ favorite aspects of the job. “I love it when students come back 6 months later. They are so appreciative, but they did it. They put in the work and we were just here to facilitate the change in their lives.”

Chris also enjoys working with a variety of people and says adapting teaching styles is vital to success in this job. He also believes patience is passion is important. “You have to have passion to teach,” he states.

Chris’ career at the Driver Resource Center continues to evolve as he takes on new responsibilities with our online learning platform. Whether online or on the training yard, Chris’ passion for helping overs and sharing his experience is evident.

When Chris isn’t training the next generation of truck drivers, he enjoys riding and working on motorcycles, as well as spending time with his two-year-old son.
