CDL Trainer Requirements
- Possess a Valid Class A CDL License
- 2+ years driving experience needed
- OTR experience needed
- Able to pass DOT physical and drug screen
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate with others using oral and written skills

Do I need to be a Certified CDL Trainer?
Certification to be a CDL instructor varies by state. Each state has minimum requirements for certification. While having a CDL instructor certification is a plus for applicants, it is not required. If a CDL instructor certification is required in your state, we will help you through this process.

Do I need to take a CDL Instructor Training class?
No. If you accept employment with a DRC network school we will provide you with all of the training needed to be a CDL instructor. If a state examination is required we will help to ensure you are prepared.
